Jackie
Jackie (Born Sigmund Esco) Jackson was born on May 4, 1951. He is the oldest of the Jackson Brothers and is the second oldest child in the Jackson family. On stage Jackie stands between his younger brothers Michael and Marlon and often provides back up vocals and side falsettos. Occasionally he plays the tambourine.
Interesting J5 fact: As a small child none of the Jackson siblings could pronounce their big brother's name. It was then that Sigmund would be affectionately called "Jackie" which derived from the nickname "Little Jackson"
Tito
Tito ( Born Toriano Adrayll) was born on October 15, 1953. He is the second oldest of the Jackson 5 Brothers and is the third eldest in the Jackson family. Tito is the bass player and got his first guitar at 8 years old. Tito has the lowest vocal range of all the brothers.
Interesting J5 fact: Tito has a large collection of hats. He is the only brother that constantly wears hats.
Jermaine
Jermaine LaJuane Jackson was born on December 11, 1954. He is the third oldest Jackson 5 Brother and is the Fourth child of the Jackson family. Jermaine was originally the lead singer and rhythm guitar player of the early incarnation Jackson 5 until Michael came on the scene in 1968. Jermaine stayed with Motown and went on his own musical endeavors when the group switched labels in 1975. Jermaine is one of the most popular brothers.
Interesting J5 fact: In 1972, Jermaine also embarked on his own solo journey.
Marlon
Marlon David Jackson was born on March 12, 1957. He is the fourth oldest of the Jackson 5 and is the sixth child in the Jackson family. In the early incarnation of the Jackson 5 Marlon was initially a percussionist but soon became a vocalist and dancer.
Interesting J5 fact: Marlon had a twin brother named Brandon who sadly died shortly after birth.
Michael
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958. He is the youngest brother of the Jackson 5 and is the seventh child of the Jackson family. When the group originally formed and when Michael was old enough to join he was the bongo player until 1968. Michael is the lead singer of the Jackson 5 and the most popular brother in the group. In 1972, 14 year old Michael debuted his first solo album. When a few disappointments along the way, Michael attempted going solo again and with became "The King Of Pop" and "The Greatest Entertainer Of All Time".
Interesting J5 fact: In the mid and late sixties, as the Jackson 5 often preformed on the Chitlin Circuit; many people were astounded by Michael's amazing talent. They often thought that Michael was a grown man in a child's body. They would often say the Jackson 5 would cheat in competitions because of their "Midget".
